In 2012, the same year that our Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 60th year on the throne, Samantha opened up The Queens Pantry. Her aim was to not only provide the very best of British and Commonwealth Food and Gifts, but also a traditional shopping experience where the customer is treated like Royalty.
Having grown up in the historic town of Royal Leamington Spa, just 6 miles from William Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon, Samantha spent her childhood testing the wide range of chocolate, crisps and cakes she sells today. She has an in depth knowledge of all her products and is very happy to put the kettle on and have a good old chinwag (chat) over a cup of char and a plate of biccies (tea and cookies).
Napoleon once reputedly said that the English were a nation of shopkeepers. At the time, it was considered an insult, but today, Samantha wears that badge as the keeper of the shop with pride, and welcomes everyone to browse the shelves of The Pantry (even the French!!).
Nobody has seen The Queen or Samantha in the same room, leading many to speculate that they could actually be the same person!
